Baptist Student Union
Ministering to:
The students of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as well as the faculty and staffof the campus. This is a ministry supported by all Baptist Churches in the association that give to the Cooperative Program. The BSU is charged with reaching the campus for Christ, discipling Christian students, and building the leadership for the future of the Kingdom.
BSU Programming includes:
-Free Lunch Outreaches;
-Tuesdays and Wednesdays
-This outreach provides physical food for the body while at the same time providing spiritual food for the soul. Serving times are 12 noon to 1pm every Tuesday and Wednesday (Unless Campus activities prevent).
-Thursday Worship (Get Real)
-This mid-day worship service is a mixture of fun and intense spiritual disciplship designed to challenge students to live a life that is sold out to the passion of Christ. This is an encouragement for the saved and another outreach to the lost on campus. The challenge is for Christ to sit on the throne of the lives of the students.
-Bible Studies
-At different times during the week the students lead bibles studies both on campus and in the BSU building. These small groups are to encouraged hold each other to a higher accountability and be a source of community.
-Other programming involves various outreach projects to the campus and the community as well as mission trips, missions fundraisers, and personal life-changing relationships.
